In this modern era, science is having a major influence on our day to day life. The day is observed every year to commemorate the discovery of the 'Raman Effect' by Sir C. V. Raman on 28 february 1928. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in physics in 1930 for the same.
The National Science Day is celebrated all over the country, in all educational and Research Institutions. Similarly, our college G.V.M.’s Dr. Dada Vaidya College of Education has celebrated National Science Day.The theme for the celebration was FROM ATOMS TO UNIVERSE.
The
Chief Guest for the function was Mr. PARESH PARAB. The Function started
with the welcoming of the chief guest and declaring the Science
Mela as open. Science Mela had displayed various Science exhibits which includes Aqua expo, biology exhibition, mathematics in nature, quiz corner. The
library was converted into a Space Arena for a day. Students had presented their presentation s on topics such as atoms and molecules, cosmic and reaction precipitate videos. The vote of thanks was given by Dr. Anna Neena George.
